Magnolia is Really Part of Seattle...

Let's end city hall's neglect of Magnolia...

I am taking an email from one of my neighbors so you all can be aware of the latest Magnolia Break in

Please be on the alert. A house on the Boulevard was brazenly burglarized yesterday at 11:00am. A rock was thrown through a glass door and the house was ransacked. The suspect was described as a male, 20-25, Hispanic or White, 5’7”, stocky.

Today, at 3:40pm a person walked by my house on Blaine St fitting this description and he was carrying a rock The person I saw was wearing long denim shorts and a long sleeve t-shirt. His hair is black and in a pony tail. He was first walking down Blaine heading west, then when he saw me he turned and headed east toward the Howe St. bridge.

I called 911 and there are officers looking for him right now. They ask that if anyone sees anything suspicious to call 911.

Please pardon this email if it seems to alarming. I just want to get the word out and have everyone keep their eyes open.

I just spoke with a neighbor that lives further west on the boulevard than me. She said that she saw the guy that I saw yesterday getting out of his car. He was parked on the boulevard in front of the swing sets at the house next to mine. He ran across the neighbor’s lawn and did not have a rock at that point, he probably got the rock from my yard. His car is described at gray or blue, a four door sedan. Several other neighbors have felt suspicious about a light blue Buick LaSabre that has been cruising around.

If you see a car like this and it seems suspicious, please get the plate number. The officers and the detectives are very interested in any info even if it seems small. It might be the one bit of info that saves a family from the heartache of having their home invaded.

Where in Magnolia did this break-in occur?

Thanks for the update. I will keep my eyes open.

Any idea about what year the car is ?

Maybe this was brought up before, but has anyone thought of creating a neighborhood watch , where residents cruise around during the day looking for suspicious cars or people ?
