Magnolia is Really Part of Seattle...

Let's end city hall's neglect of Magnolia...

Did anyone hear all the police sirens around the neighborhood last night? I saw at least 3 police cars coming over Dravus, and later saw a police car go down our street with his search light on. Made me think they were looking for someone, and I hope they found what they were looking for. I didn't see any reports in the news about it, so just wondering if anyone saw anything.

I noticed it also. I checked the 911 map site (http://www.public911.com/911/seattle), but nothing was showing for Magnolia, which I took to mean that the police activity wasn't in response to a reported or citizen-initiated request, such as a 911 call. I also didn't hear anything related, for the 10 minutes I listened, on the police scanner (http://www.komonews.com/news/content/scanner).

The night before, Saturday, there was also a lot of police activity (searchlights, helicoper), which also didn't show up on the 911 map. But as I listened to the scanner, it become clear that they were looking for a car equipped with On-Star which had been reported stolen or which had signaled an emergency... My guess was that it had been reported by the On-Star service; otherwise, I would have figured that there would have been a 911 map report...?).
