Nancy: I just saw the question you posted on my page earlier this afternoon about meeting with the reporter and wanted to let you know that our breakin was actually more than a year ago, so wouldn't have been timely enough to be included in a story about recent crime in the neighborhood. The most frightening part of my experience was that I came home with my children after picking them up from school, interrupting the burglar and causing him to run out through a basement door (with my laptop and ipod in hand!). So although we haven't been hit by the recent rash of breakins, I can certainly empathize with the feeling of violation that it has created for those of you who have!

Nancy, thanks for taking the interview.

I hope the meeting moves to the gym, and, we are able to cover both the measures required to protect ourselves, and, why the heck city hall does so little for our neighborhood.

I will not be at the meeting as I'm going to be out of town. I'll send my stalwart 10 year old son in my place. He has plenty of common sense and might provide the city government with some wisdom.

King 5 will have coverage at 5pm today. I very relunctantly agreed to be interviewed. If anyone else out there feels they are able to talk to the media I would encourage you to do so. It's best to have more faces on this story. Call me if you think you might consider. Media promises to be there on the 17th. Please come and bring your neighbor. But leave someone at home, too! I'm hoping we'll have to move this meeting to the gym.
