Magnolia is Really Part of Seattle...

Let's end city hall's neglect of Magnolia...

Last Tuesday 9/23,10 AM at 27th Ave W and W. Barrett St., a twenty something Hispanic man with a ponytail successful opened our neighbor's kitchen window. The noise woke up their 24 year old daughter in the basement who discovered him about half-way into their house, and by repeatedly screaming, she scared him back out of the window where he jumped into a car driven by another man. The daughter didn't get a good look at the car or license number, but the police came and dusted for fingerprints. This is, of course, frightening on many levels but the police reported the following:

Their house had been inspected or cased for an easy way in, which they unfortunately provided for him and yes, Magnolia is busy again with crime. Be watchful of your neighbor's homes as many neighbors are gone during the day and reinforce windows and doors as needed. With all the construction going on around this part of the Bluff, it's hard to know what truck or car belongs to workers and who is taking advantage of the situation by casing the neighborhood.
